ILEA October Meeting: Tenting

We are excited to be at The Black Pelican Greenbrier for an evening of networking, dinner and education!  

This is also our very special Halloween themed event-- so make sure to come dressed to impress with your creative costumes!

We will also have our food drive collection again this month-- bring a non-perishable food item and be entered in our raffle for a chance to win a Halloween-themed basket.

"What you need to know to be a PRO to rent a tent for your event"  

How do you advise your client who is considering an outdoor event?
What are the different types of tents or structures and what is the best type to consider when planning my event?
What considerations should you put into the formula to determine the correct size required?
When should you begin the planning process?
What considerations should be given as to the location for my tented event?
What other rental equipment will be needed to complete the client's vision?
...and so much more!


ILEA member Bill Cabell, President of Distinctive Event Rentals
Bill will answer these questions for you and so much more!  With over 30 years in the tent rental industry locally, he will give a general overview of things to consider and offer tips to make you look like a pro!  There will be a Q & A session afterwards. This is geared towards planners, caterers, and decorators and anyone else who is considering a tented event.


Appetizers (choose one- order will be taken at event):  

Caesar Salad – Crisp romaine lettuce with creamy Caesar dressing, housemade croutons and parmesan cheese
She Crab Soup- A coastal favorite featuring lump Crab meat blended in a rich cream stock with a hint of sweet sherry

Main Entree (choose one- order will be taken at event):  

“Dixie’s Finest” Shrimp and Grits – Plump Shrimp sautéed with garlic, onions, tomatoes and tabasco butter sauce served over jalapeno cheese grits
Southern Fried Flounder – Lightly breaded fresh NC Flounder fried to perfection, served with harvest rice pilaf and fresh steamed green beans
Vegetarian Pasta - Fresh cut vegetables tossed in a tomato basil cream  sauce over penne pasta
“First Flight” - Blackened chicken breast, southwestern vegetable ravioli, queso sauce and grilled corn salsa 
Classic Pepperoni Pizza- Tomato sauce, lots of pepperoni, house cheese and oregano 
Greek Pizza- Herbed garlic oil, Roma tomatoes, red onions, feta cheese, kalamata olives, house cheese, oregano, pepperoncini and scallions
